Farmers markets

Hello,
FYI, here are 2 very handy & inexpensive sources of fruits & veggies; they're not really farmers markets, but they're great. These organizations supply "rescued" produce. Please note:
Visits CG on the 3rd Saturday of each month; Presbyterian church on Cottonwood, summer hours are 7:00 - 10:00 AM
Borderlands - POWWOW~~~ https://borderlandsproducerescue.org/
No longer visits CG, but they set up in Eloy & Coolidge on the 4th Saturday of each month; see website for locations & time
Offerings are dependent on what is in season. Bring $15 cash per order; they don't accept large bills. Also bring a wagon or cart 'cuz you're gonna need it. People of all walks of life attend these events -- they're not a hangout for derelicts.
Enjoy!

- Produce may be near the end of its storage life. Use it, freeze it, can it, dehydrate it, vacuum pack it, or cook it soon.
- Produce may not be pretty enough to suit Fry's or Safeway.
- Many offerings are orgasmic... umm... organic & would be pretty expensive in the stores.
- Mold on some items is not unusual. An easy cure is to dip the affected produce in dilute white vinegar -- cleans it up & extends its storage life.
