AZGOP and RPAZ -Republican Party of AZ
PCRC- is the Pinal County Republican Committee ( there are 15 counties and 15 committees)
P C - Precinct Committeeman (we are allowed 1 PC for every 125 Republican voters in a precinct. PC are the closest representative to the people. They are elected every two years and for openings registered republicans can be appointed.
State PC- every county is allowed
State Committeeman- we are allowed 1 state committeeman for every 3 PCs. They are elected by the PCs in the county every two years at the statutory meeting. They are allowed to attend the state meeting and elect our state AZGOP OFFICERS
District or LD Chairs- are elected by PCs LD or by District, dependent on county size.
Precinct Captains are the head PC in precincts if Chosen by the LD or District Chair.
So order of rank is voter-PC-PC Captain- District or LD Chair-County Chair- State Chair
State Elected officials- We are allowed 2 State Representatives and 1 State Senator for each Legislative District.
Pinal County has parts of 6 different LD's. We have parts of LD6, LD7, LD10, LD15, LD16, and LD17. All the legislators are up for re-election every 2 years.
Arizona has term limits of no more than 4 consecutive terms in that position.
Congressional District- These are your US Representatives and Senators. We have 9 Congressional Districts, so we have 9 representatives, and each State has 2 Senators. Representatives are elected every 2 years and Senators every 6
years. Pinal County has parts of 4CDs', CD2, CD5, CD6 and CD7.
